How to Block SMS on a Blackberry Gemini

Blackberry Firewall
1. Go to the Home screen on your Blackberry Gemini. Use the track wheel to select and click “Options.”
2. Select “Security” then “Firewall” from the “Options” screen.
3. Put a check mark next to “SMS' on the firewall options. If you have the Blackberry 5.0 operating system, put a check mark next to “Text Messages” to block all incoming SMS.
4. Scroll down to “Exceptions” if you would like to allow certain individuals to send you SMS.
Put a check mark next to “Contacts” to allow all your contacts to send you SMS messages. Or, put a check mark next to “Specific Addresses” to only allow certain people to send SMS messages.
5. Click “Add” if you are selecting specific contacts. Select “Add Email Address,” “Add Phone Number” or “Add PIN.”
6. Enter the desired email address, phone number or PIN. Hit the menu key and press “Save.” Repeat the adding process until you have included all of the desired exceptions.
7. Save your settings. Your Blackberry Gemini will now block all SMS messages except from those on your exception list.
Blackberry App World
8. Navigate to the Blackberry App World on your Blackberry Gemini phone. Hit the magnifying glass to bring up the search window and type “Block SMS.”
9. Purchase and download one of the apps on the list.
10. Install the SMS blocker and follow the on-screen prompts for configuration.
