How to Send a Free Text Message to a Wireless Phone


Send SMS Now
1. Open your browser and go to the Send SMS Now website (see Resources).
2. Select the country and cell phone operator from the drop-down menus.
3. Type in the cell phone number of the person to receive your text.
4. Compose your message. Your message is limited to 120 characters. Enter the validation code. This is a security mechanism to fight spam or bots from sending messages. Click 'Send Message.'

5. Navigate your browser to the Sea Sms website (see Resources).
6. Type your message in the 'Message' field towards the bottom of the Web page.
7. Type the 10-digit phone number of the person to receive your text in the field next to 'Number.'
8. Right-click on the drop down arrow under 'Cellular Operator' and scroll down to find and select the mobile carrier of the person you are sending the text message to.
9. Click 'Send' to send your text message.

10. Direct your browser to the textbysms website (see Resources).
11. Type the mobile phone number, including the area code in the first field which says 'To.'
12. Enter your email address in the next field. This is optional, but the recipient can reply to you text and the reply will be sent to your email.
13. Type a subject in the 'Subject' field. The subject doesn't count towards the message limit.
14. Select the recipients' cellular carrier by using the drop down menu.
15. Enter your text message in the following field.

The verification code may consist of letters and numbers.
Type the verification code in the blank field.
17. Click 'Send Text Now' to process and send your text message to the wireless phone.
