How to Send Free SMS Internationally

Web Service
1. Launch your Web browser by double-clicking its icon on your desktop or by clicking 'Start,' and then highlighting and clicking the program name of your Web browser.
2. Visit a free SMS message site (see Resources) by typing the Web address of one of these sites into your browser's navigation bar.
3. Follow the instructions on each website. Some sites require you to register an account to use their services.
4. Enter the region or country of the recipient's phone number, then enter the recipient's mobile phone number and the carrier he or she uses for cell phone service. You may also need to enter a validation code, which prevents spamming.
5. Type your message into the text box provided. Press 'Send Message' to send the SMS to your contact's phone.
Email
6. Launch your Web browser by double-clicking its icon on your desktop or by clicking 'Start,' and then highlighting and clicking the program name of your Web browser. Those using Microsoft Outlook should click 'Start,' and then highlight and click 'Outlook' to launch that email service.
7. Type the Web address of your email provider (for instance, Yahoo Mail or Google Mail) in the navigation bar. Log in to your account by entering your user name and password, and then pressing 'Enter.'
8. Click 'New' to compose a new email.
9. Enter the phone number and service provider extension of the recipient's phone in the 'Send To' box. For example, if the recipient uses Verizon, type the phone number followed by the '@' symbol and then 'vtext.com.' Don't put any spaces in between any of the digits, letters or symbols. The email address would look like this: '9995559999@vtext.com.' See Resources or a full list of the service providers extensions.
10. Type your message into the body of your email and click 'Send.' Please note SMS message length limits also apply to SMS messages sent via emails.
