How to Pair a Bluetooth Hand

1. Disconnect your headset from the charging source (if applicable). Do not power the headset on yet.
2. Power on your phone, and open the main menu. Access your Bluetooth options -- usually found under 'Tools' or 'Settings.'
3. Choose 'On' to turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
4. Place your headset in pairing mode. This varies by model; however, many headsets can be put in pairing mode by pressing the center 'Call Control' or 'Power' button for five to 10 seconds. You will notice the indicator lights flashing or staying solidly lit when the headset is ready to be paired.
5. Choose 'Look for Devices' or 'Search' from your phone's Bluetooth menu. Your phone will attempt to locate the headset -- this can take several seconds. A list of devices will appear when searching is complete.
6. Select the name of your headset from the list of discovered devices. Press 'OK.'
7. Enter the headset's pairing passkey on your phone if prompted. (Not all devices require this. See your user guide for the passkey specific to your device.) The passkey is set by the headset manufacturer, but is often '0000' or '1234.' Press 'OK.' Your headset and phone will connect automatically and are ready for use.
