How to Send a Cheap International SMS


1. Choose the cell phone service provider of the recipient on the VZW site. Enter the recipient's phone number, and select the country. This service will allow you to send SMS to about 200 countries. Enter your message of up to 160 characters. You will be charged between 10 to 25 cents per text as of 2010, depending on the country.
2. Log in to AT&T's international text messaging service if you are an AT&T customer. Register by entering your phone or customer number. Type up your message of up to 160 characters. You will be able to send messages to most countries for 50 cents each.
3. Register with SendSMSNow. This site will allow you to send messages for free to up to 50 countries. You need to create a user name and password and provide an email address. Create your text message of up to 130 characters. Select the country, enter the phone number and country code, and click 'Send.'
