How to Send a Scheduled SMS


1. Sign up for the website TextMeLater, a web-based service that allows you to schedule text messages. It's free to send an SMS to the U.S. and Canada and to most major cell phone carriers such as Verizon Wireless, Sprint and Cingular. Also, use the service to schedule reminders to send to your own cell phone. Sign up by entering your 10-digit mobile phone number and your cell phone carrier. Click 'Send Test Message' to make sure your phone can receive messages from the site. Then, proceed to enter in a user name and other contact information.
2. Download SMS Scheduler, a small application you use when you send an SMS message via your computer. Leave the application running in the background when you send an SMS. Select the specific, date, time and recurrence. You can also send the same message to several recipients. Go to the SMS Scheduler website to download the application. Install it on your computer, and run it in the background.
3. Sign up for for SMS City to schedule SMS at dates and times previously set. Sign up by entering your country, mobile phone number, first name, email address and password. Registration is free. Everyday you receive one free SMS point to send a free SMS, according to SMS City. Besides the one free SMS you gain per day, a standard SMS costs 10 cents. To schedule a message, log into the site and click 'Send SMS' from the menu located the top of your member page.
