How to Send SMS Text Via Google Email

1. Open a Web browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Apple Safari and access the Google Email website.
2. Log in to your Google Email account using your username and password.
3. Click 'Compose Mail' to open a blank email message to send as an SMS text.
4. Enter the recipient's mobile address in the 'To' field. The address is a combination of the mobile phone number and the SMS gateway. The SMS gateway acts in the same manner as the domain in an email address. The gateway varies by carrier and may be found using the listing provided by Email-Unlimited. An example address for a Midwest Wireless recipient would be phonenumber@clearlydigital.com.
5. Enter the SMS text in the body of the email. Depending on the recipient's mobile carrier, messages that are longer than 160 characters may be truncated.
6. Click 'Send' to deliver the SMS text to the recipient via your Google Email account.
