How to Get Out of a Cell Phone Contract With Telus

1. Contact Telus via telephone at least 30 days before you plan to disconnect or transfer your service. Make sure you have your account number before calling so there is no hassle while you're on the phone. You can call Telus toll-free in Canada by dialing (866) 558-2273
2. Write a letter to Telus letting the company know you want to terminate your contract.
3. Include your full name and account number so there is no problem pulling up your account.
4. List the reason and specific dates in the body of your letter, providing at least 30 days' notice between the receipt of your letter and the date you want your service to be terminated. Telus requires at least 30 days' notice before termination; otherwise, you may be required to pay a termination fee.
5. Mail your letter to the Telus office in your province. For example, if you live in Ontario, you would mail correspondence to:Telus Mobility Client Care
200 Consilium Place, Suite 1600
Scarborough, Ontario
Canada M1H 3J3
6. Consider using the online email form to contact Telus about terminating your contract. You may have better luck with direct contact through mail or by discussing your account over the phone.
