How to Set Up a CNN News Alert

1. Visit the CNN website for information about the news alerts they offer. Consider the different options for news updates. On the front page of the site, you can choose to make the CNN site your home page, choosing between the local or international edition. You can also customize the home page to show the information you are looking for.
2. Scroll to the bottom of the front page of the CNN site and notice the options associated with news alerts on the left side of the page. They offer RSS feed, emails, CNN mobile alerts, CNN radio and breaking news alerts. Select the one you are most interested in.
3. Follow the free registration instructions when prompted. This will include country, first name (for personalization purposes), email address, password and zip code. You can then select to receive breaking news alerts and other member updates, if you desire.
4. Double check that you have received a confirmation email from CNN before assuming your news alerts have been set up. If there is a problem with your news alerts or you wish to cancel at any time, follow the instructions at the bottom of the email for assistance.
