How Can I Send a Text to a BlackBerry Phone From My Computer?


SMS Services
1. Open a Web browser and log on to one of the free web-based SMS services.
2. Type the phone number of the BlackBerry into the 'To:' or 'Phone Number:' field.
3. Type a return email address or phone number.
4. Type the text of your message in the 'Message' input box. Limit the message to 140 characters or less.
5. Type the anti-spam answer into the input box. Most sites have a question that requires user input to divert spam and automatic sending bots.
6. Click the 'Send' button. The text message will be sent to the BlackBerry.
Email (Most Carriers)
7. Open an email client, such as Microsoft Outlook.
8. Click the 'Compose' button to create a new message.
9. Type the phone number of the recipient into the 'To:' box. The phone number will be followed by the '@' sign, then the emai-to-SMS domain name of the carrier. For T-Mobile, the email-to-SMS address be formatted like this:'recipient@tmomail.net'
10. Type a short message of 140 characters or less into the Message input box.
11. Click the 'Send' button. The recipient will receive your email as an SMS text on their BlackBerry.
