How to Send SMS Messages From Hotmail

1. Sign in to your Hotmail account with your user name and password.
2. Click 'New' to compose a new email message.
3. Enter the 10-digit cell phone number you want to send a text message to followed by '@' and the cell phone carrier domain. For example, if you want to send a message to an AT&T customer from Hotmail, you would add '@txt.att.net' to the mobile number.
4. Enter a subject for the text and then compose the message. Limit the message to 160 characters. If you send a longer message, the message might be cut off or the recipient might receive multiple text messages.
5. Click 'Send' to send an SMS message from Hotmail.
