How to Send Free Text Messages From a Computer to a Mobile


Send SMS Now
1. Direct your Web browser to Send SMS Now (see Resources).
2. Click 'Select country' and pick the country of residence for the person receiving the text. Select the correct country, as the form will be populated with the appropriate international dialing code (the number that replaces the first digit of a mobile number when calling internationally).
3. Insert the mobile phone number. Do not input the international dialing code (i.e. +1 for the U.S.), as the form will add this in for you based on your country selection.
4. Write your message in 130 or fewer characters. Click 'Send SMS.'

5. Direct your Web browser to Txt2day (see Resources).
6. Type in the mobile phone number you want to send the text to.
7. Click 'Select Provider of Receiver,' and select the provider of the mobile you are sending the message to. If you do not know the provider, click 'Don't Know the Provider? Look It Up!' and then enter the mobile number and click 'Look It Up.'
8. Write your message in 140 or fewer characters.
9. Answer the antispam question and click 'Send It!'

10. Direct your Web browser to Text 4 Free (see Resources).
11. Insert the mobile phone number.
12. Click 'Scroll Down the List of Providers...' and select the provider of the mobile you are sending the text to. If you are sending a text to more than one recipient, select 'Click to Add Another Recipient,' and continue adding the mobile numbers until you have everyone who will receive the message.
13. Write your message in 140 or fewer characters.
14. Enter the text in the antispam image into the blank text box, and click 'Send Message(s)!'
