How to Send a Free Picture Text Message From My Computer

1. Connect your wireless phone to your computer. Use the USB cable your device came with to do so.
2. Click the 'View files' link in the small window that appears. A new window will appear that will contain all of your cell phone's contents.
3. Locate the folder where your phone's images are stored. This is often labeled as 'Images.'
4. Go to your computer's Start Menu. Click on 'Computer' to open the window that will display hard drives that are currently found on your computer.
5. Click on the icon where the image you want to send as a text is located. For example, if you store all your pictures on an external hard drive, this will most likely be listed under the 'G:' drive. Click on the folder labeled 'My Pictures' and navigate to the photo.
6. Right-click on the picture and select 'copy.' Return to the window containing the your 'Images' folder on your wireless phone and right-click, then choose 'paste.' The picture will now be stored in your cell phone's 'Images' folder.
7. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone and computer. Open the image on your cell phone and click on the icon or word 'Send.'
8. Look at the choices that appear on the small window that appears. Choose 'Send as message.'
9. Select a person's name or number from your call list. Add them to the 'To:' option at the top of the screen that contains the image. Click 'Send,' and this will send the individual your picture as a text message.
