How to Send a Text Message for Free to an ATT Customer's Phone

1. First, you'll want to have a myWireless Account on the AT&T website. You can find further instructions on how to do that by clicking on the link down below in the resource section.
2. Log into your myWireless Account on the AT&T website (link down below) and go to the Phone/Device section on the main page near the center. Then click the 'Send a Text Message' link.
3. In the 'To:' field, enter in the AT&T customer's wireless phone number. It's a good idea to include 1, the area code, and the number--no dashes or additional characters needed.
4. In the message field, enter the text message that you want to send to your AT&T friend.
5. Click the 'Send' button near the end to send the text message. You will receive a message on the next screen saying that your message was submitted successfully. If it says anything else, it did not go through correctly. If this happens, check and verify that the number is indeed a number for an AT&T customer.
