How to Disable SMS in ICQ


1. Log into your ICQ account.
2. Click on the 'Main' tab displayed on the upper region of the ICQ interface.
3. Click on the option that says 'View/Change My Details' and then click on the 'Phone Book' preference displayed on the left side of the window.
4. Click on the 'Private Cellular' option displayed in the center of the window, below where it says 'Phone Book Details.' The number you provided for SMS will be displayed next to where it says 'Private Cellular.'
5. Click on the tab that says 'Edit' and uncheck the check box next to where it says 'SMS Service Available for this number Displays SMS icon on Contact List.' This will disable the phone you provided as an SMS number. After this, SMS will be disabled. Save the changes by clicking on the 'Apply' tab placed on the bottom-right side of the window and proceed by clicking on the 'OK' tab to exit the window.If you want to delete the cell phone number you provided for SMS, simply click where it says 'Private Cellular' and then click on the 'Delete' tab. This will disable SMS and will also remove your private number from ICQ.
